Like many in the healing and helping professions I was brought to this work while on my own path of recovery, discovery, and self development. From a young age I have been committed to better understanding the human experience, especially what causes suffering and what brings about greater ease and joy.
This lead to earning a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology in 2006 and becoming a licensed mental health professional in the state of California in 2009. Since this time I have worked in a variety of settings and completed many clinical and non-clinical trainings in various traditional and non-traditional modalities.
Clinically, I’m able to draw upon depth and psychodynamic, emotionally focused and attachment based, embodied and somatic, and behavioral and cognitive methods. Additionally, I’m certified as: an Equine Interaction Professional; a Feeding Your Demons® facilitator; and a candidate in The Daring Way.™
I’m from the North Bay, and have worked in community mental health, residential, and private practice settings throughout the Bay Area. This year I transitioned my psychotherapy practice to tele-health (utilizing secure online video-conference and phone) and continue to offer in-person events in the Bay Area.
I truly believe healing our relationship to ourselves, and improving our relationships with others, has a reverberating and revolutionary impact. I practice bringing presence, curiosity, the experiential, collaboration, sociocultural competence, a sense of humor, compassion, and realness, to my approach.
